stephen jones, ll.m, caa
Tax & Estate Lawyer
After graduating from Dalhousie Law School in Halifax, I came to Toronto to article with a small Toronto law firm. Then I obtained my Chartered Accountant designation while working for a large international accounting firm which became KPMG in Canada. I completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and worked with large international companies, large Canadian companies (especially financial services), smaller local companies and individuals. There were esoteric assignments like the taxation of mining and oil and gas companies, and hands-on ones like merging small businesses and preparing complex personal income tax returns. I completed a Masters of Laws (LLM) in trust and fiduciary law in 2006 with Osgoode Hall Law School, part of Toronto’s York University. As a lawyer and Chartered Accountant, Stephen brings a wealth of knowledge to our tax and estate planning.
